The newcomer His first start for his country. Somewhat loose on the ball though his dangerous corners were a threat. An effective pace-controller for the coach to have against sides that sit back. Booked after a reckless challenge. 6

Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Had freedom to drift on the left but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Awarded a merited break around the 60-minute point. Six

The star midfielder Operated in a high spot on the right while also put in defensive duties. Demonstrated flashes of quality and mishit an attempt wide. Substituted late on by a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Had the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his strike well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play down the right side although his balls from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his two more strikes in an England shirt. His first a typical close-range tap-in while the second a superb finish with his head after peeling away away from the opposition. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and England are strong contenders in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Struggled to make an impact out wide. Had a good opening after being played in by Bellingham but Strakosha denied him. Rashford produced a bigger influence when substituted. 5/10
